  2. Many many thanks for all these folks - just one wee thing to mention in that story 42 is definitely not a Mike Noble drawn one - my best guess would be John Cooper.
    Thanks again!!!

  3. Glad you've been enjoying the TP stories Mike, Story 31 is complete, the last page does not have any 'next week' lettering, I think that's what's thrown you, but it is all there. As for story 42, well spotted, it isn't Mike Noble's work, and I think you are right in saying that is is in fact by John Cooper.

  4. I've just realised that your message says 'second last' not last, and looking again you are right, there seems to be a continuity problem between the episodes at the end of the story. I have checked the original and it isn't there either. I will try to get the missing episode, and i'm sure it will end up on the blog at some point, my intention is to get the strips from every issue up, so just keep visiting,

    John.

  5. Many thanks mate - I was also wondering about that printers strike you mentioned which affected the TP continuity (well done indeed for finding some of the missing art btw!!) - as someone who collected the original comics when they first came out I had forgotten all about that incident until you mentioned it but I wondered if it had a similar effect on any other of the continued strips at the time - will do a bit of digging and let you know what I find - unless of course you have already checked it out - ?
I do seem to recall that some issues had numbers but no dates on the covers but may be wrong - unfortunately I was forced to dump huge chunks of my comics collection in my teens when we moved house so I kept pages with my favourite art in binders and had to bin the rest (still hurts to even talk about it - lost all me Countdown/TV Actions and TV Comics as well and to make it even worse it was the SECOND time that had happened as I lost all me TV21's and Beano/Dandy and annuals in a similar move during the 60's which is why Scanarama and the net in general has been such a godsend to me so once again thanks for the memories pal!!!

  6. I can't take the credit for the missing art, I know for a fact that two issues were not printed, that is why these issues are so hard to find - because they don't exist! I don't have the last issue of 74, but I have the first issue of 75 and there is no clue as to whether all the stories were cut off or not, as soon as I can find out, I'll let you know. If you could find out anything that would be great.

  7. Also about your other comment, yes there were a few issues in 1974 that were undated, why this is, is a mystery to me, unless you can find out about that.
