The Whole Story - Kung Fu - Stories 1 and 2...

On to our next whole story, and this time it's the turn of Kung Fu, an immensely popular series, due in no small part to a guy called Bruce Lee, Lee was almost single handedly responsible for the surge of interest in martial arts in general, but particularly Kung Fu.  Hot on the tail of this popularity, Warner Brothers televison released this TV series in 1972, which became a huge hit and made a worldwide star of David Carridine.  David played the central character Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk who, after completing his spiritual training, ventures into the world - the American west, finding friends and making a lot of enemies in an America still knee deep in violence, hatred and racism.  As well as using Kung Fu to help him overcome all sorts of adversaries, he could also call on the fountain of knowledge taught to him by Masters Po (Keye Luke) and Chen Ming Kan (Phillip Ahn), who appeared to him in his thoughts when he most needed their help.  Transferred to the pages of Look-in and drawn by Martin Asbury, the story continued for just over a year, now you can relive the whole story once again...here are the first two tales...
