The Whole Story - Wreckers at Dead Eye - Story 1...

Someone requested some images from Wreckers at Dead Eye a series which appeared as a strip in Look-in for the first six issues.  It's a series I know very little about as it wasn't a big success.  A historical drama made by Thames TV, looking very much in the Richard Carpenter mould.  I uploaded it to the group and as it is only 6 pages I though I would put it straight in the Whole Story section too....enjoy.

Remembering Mike Noble and The Whole Story - Enid Blyton's famous Five - Part 5...

It's mid month update folks...

Today Marks the 4th Anniversary of the death of Look-in stalwart Michael Noble, Having followed Editor Alan Fennell from TV21, where he became famous as the artist for Fireball XL5, he took on a host of different strips in Look-in, drawing everything from Horses, Eagles and Moonbases, undersea creatures, scarecrows and alien lifeforms, outlaws and labyrinths,  not to mention people from real life too..!!, nothing seemed to be impossible for him and he did it with such amazing lifelike accuracy, he really stretched his wings at Look-in and got to do such a diverse amount of stuff, and we were so incredibly lucky to have had him in our pages.  So let us take a minute to remember this great artist and raise a glass to him.

and there is no better time than now with the 5th part of our Famous Five Whole Story series,  as the Five go off in a caravan....

1977 No.7 (full issue)...

Bad news folks...No, i'm not going away again, me and Dan had a talk, and due to the fact that I am not the only one he scans for, and that he can only spread himself so thin, we can only upload the one issue a week, at least for a while.  When I am able to buy issues there may be double weeks, I have just recieved 1984 No.35 and that will be going up soon, but I can't always buy issues, as people are now aware how desirable Look-in is and I can't always get them at a reasonable price.  Dan has asked me to slow down and not upload more than one issue a week to allow him breathing space to get on with other scanning, this I will do.  I have a few of Daz's archive issues and a few other issues in my collection, but I have run out of full ones.  So we have to be patient and Dan will help us complete them in time.  He has been brilliant and we should not forget what he has done for us, you would not have a good deal of what we have if not for him.  So thanks Dan.

But don't worry, there will still be that one issue to read every Sunday and i'll upload other bits and pieces at the FB group, and we'll keep those memories flooding back , so let's start now with more Muppet action in 1977 No.7....
