1972 No.11, 1980 No.11 and 1971 No.27 (Full Issues)...

Here are this weeks pair, No.11 from 1972 and then forward 8 years exactly to get No.11 from 1980, which was provided by Dan.  Also a bonus, on compiling the first two Follyfoot stories it came to my attention that the Follyfoot strip in issue 1971/27 had been turned to B&W, so I asked Dan to send me a colour one, only to find that the full issue does have a colour strip!  Anyways the scan he sent me is better so I have replaced the strip in both versions, you can get them below too.  From now on clicking the covers will take you to the relevant year on the checklist site, you can get the issues from there.

New Look-out checklist site...

It has always been my hope to get another checklist site up and running, but finding free webspace is difficult now, but I came across a site called Weebly, which although doesn't let you upload frontpage-made pages, is not to difficult to use.  A lot easier than WIX, which I did try some months ago.  I have been beavering away and the first few pages are ready for you to access.  You can get 1971 (all issues in full, and a strip only annual), 1972 (full issues up to date the rest strip only) and 1980 (full issues up to date, and most other issues in strip only form).  The basic version of Weebly enables me to do what I need to but doesn't look that amazing, I hope you enjoy seeing the issues build up and that it makes life easier as far as getting the issues downloaded.  I will of course add the other years in due course and hopefully links to get other stuff like The Whole Story.

The Whole Story....Follyfoot Stories 1 &2...

One of the most popular strips ever in Look-in was Follyfoot, the series based on the book 'Cobblers Dream' by Monica Dickens which tells the story of Dora, a girl who goes to live with her uncle for the summer, who on being introduce to his horse farm, falls in love with it and decides to make a life there.  Dora Maddocks played by Gillian Blake, meets Steve  Ross (Steve Hodson) and forms an emotional attachment to him, and so she invites him to work at the farm, already working at the farm are lovable rogues Ron Stryker (Christian Rodska) and Slugger Jones (Arthur English), the other main character is Dora's aforementioned uncle Colonel Geoffrey Maddocks (Desmond Llewellyn).

The series was so popular it became one of Look-in's longest running strips and also got it's own Look-in special.

Here for you now is the whole story month by month in full strips...
